The Peoples Assembly Demo 5th November 2022

NHS related Marches And Demo's

‘General Election Now!’

A selection of photo’s taken as I attempted to catch up with the front of the march once the rear of the march had left the Embankment.

This is because I managed to capture the March from start to finish on video as it left the Embankment, by hugging a temporary signpost which was stuck in a wobbly concrete base, while trying to hold a plastic bag over the camera to keep off the rain at the same time… hence the rather wobbly result!

However, it gives a good idea of the number of people who turned up, despite the rain, and the diversity of all ages, nationalities, and physical abilities that took part. It is always an uplifting and emotional experience to be part of such a large gathering of people coming together in SOLIDARITY!

Worth looking out for:

  • The conscientious woman that manages to stop and pick up her dog poo while the march continues around her, and
  • the two cyclists that manage to cycle through the march while it is moving!
  • The Save Lewisham Hospital Campaign Banner. It is the tenth anniversary of their campaign, which successfully took the government to court… and won!

🙂
